Matt Robinson is Chief Technology Officer at FairPlay Sports Media and a senior technology leader with a career spanning more than a decade in digital product delivery, DevOps transformation, and cloud platform strategy. At FairPlay, Matt is responsible for scaling engineering practices and leading technology strategy across a global sports media portfolio, driving innovation in data-led sports betting experiences.
Prior to this, Matt held multiple leadership roles at Oddschecker, where he served as Head of Technology across the Oddschecker Global Media (OGM) group. In that role, he oversaw a full-scale transformation of the engineering function. Matt began his career as a developer and technical lead, with hands-on experience across system software design, TDD, CI/CD, and data analysis. He has deep expertise in Java-based technologies, distributed systems, and agile delivery models, with experience using tools and frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Elasticsearch, Redis, and more.
Whether he’s mentoring senior technologists, leading large-scale migrations, or shaping cloud-native platform strategy, Matt brings a pragmatic and thoughtful approach to digital transformation in high-growth environments.
Stephen Walters is a Field CTO at GitLab and a leading authority on Value Stream Management (VSM), DevSecOps, and Team Topologies. He is the co-author of the Value Stream Reference Architecture (VSRA) paper with Dr Craig Statham, published in collaboration with the Value Stream Management Consortium, where both serve as Ambassadors. Together, they also founded the VSRA Community, a space for advancing organisational thinking around flow and value delivery. With a career spanning over 30 years across the full IT lifecycle, Stephen brings deep expertise in SDLC, ALM, DevOps, and enterprise transformation. He holds certifications in VSM, DevOps, SAFe, CMMI, ITIL, TOGAF, and PRINCE2.
At GitLab, he drives thought leadership in enterprise transformation and VSM adoption, helping organisations re-architect around value streams and enable fast flow through platform thinking. Stephen is also an Ambassador for the DevOps Institute and a certified Team Topologies Advocate. He is a sought-after speaker, writer, and community leader, with decades of contributions across global stages, webinars, and technical publications.
